Sex after Episiotomy

Ladies,

Is anyone having difficulties with having sex after an episiotomy?

I gave birth on 16.10.17, had to have an episiotomy due to baby’s heartbeat.

Everything healed perfectly in about two weeks, all stitches gone and it LOOKS fine, however it doesn’t FEEL fine.

Every time I even put the slightest pressure on the area it’s just so tender. We literally can’t get past the tender spot, and I can’t get past the pain. It feels like there’s something in there???

Every time we try I end up in tears, not from pain but from me being so emotional about how much everything/my body has changed.

I’m assuming it’s just scar tissue? At my 6 week appt the doctor said it was fine. 🤷🏼‍♀️
