Just because someone is on welfare, doesn't mean they aren't working. I work a full time job and then some, but I still need it to help make ends meet. Don't be so quick to judge

I voted no. I know a lot of people say * well, if they can buy drugs..they can buy food* ...now yes thays true. But in the real world, they wont. Sometimes food stamps are the only reason some children eat because the parents blow the cash on drugs. Trust me..I know. I came from a drug infested house. And stamps are the only reason my brother and I had food in our stomachs.

They've already tried this and it was shown to cost more money doing the drug tests and most people tested negative for drugs. I believe people on welfare should either be volunteering x number of hours a month of have proof they are trying to find a job

Yes they should, I'm actually very angry that they're not! I get tested for employment, what makes them special?!  If I am positive for drugs I will have no job! Same thing should apply for welfare!

No, it's not effective and very expensive. The welfare rate is actually quite low compared to even 5 years ago. I'm not thrilled with how easy it is to get now but it's not for me to worry about

Yes! People sometimes have to pass drug tests to get a job. I think if the people on welfare have money for drugs they can use their own money to pay for themselves as opposed to taking money from tax payers.

So our tax dollars should also go towards drug tests? I think there should be a maximum of years a person should be allowed help. After that, they should get off their asses and find a job. We can provide free food and health care for those popping out babies and illegal immigrants for years but can't provide aide to the homeless? I think those receiving welfare checks should go through a 6 month checkup. The money I make isn't for your fake nails or hair!
