What kind of water

Question

So my lo is 6 months tomorrow. What kind of water do I give him and how much?
Okay I should add from what I have been reading it said no more than 2 oz. I am not giving him water.  Did not want to it was the app that said we are supposed to start giving him water.  I was like 🤔 because I was I thought babies don’t get water.  Thank you everyone for your comments.

None! If you're looking for a drink to give with solids, give a cup with breastmilk or formula in it. :)

Always talk to your baby’s pediatrician before giving water! That young shouldn’t get water if they get any it’s like no more than 2 oz a day. To much water can dehydrate babies.. sounds crazy but they are different than older kids and adults. Same with juices!

We let our 9 month old have sips of water. More to get him use to things other than formula and also get him use to using a straw cup. It's hilarious to watch because he always looks surprised when he takes a sip and doesn't get formula. We use a Brita although using plain tap water isn't a big deal we just prefer the taste of the filtered water.

I gave my son our filtered tap water in a sippy cup. He didn’t figure out sippy cups until he was 9 months old so he only got a sip or two per day when he first started.

you can give water a 6 months. boil it in a jug first so it gets rid of nasties
