Should I Leave Her In Basket?

Question

My LO keeps waking up after a sleep and just silently staring at the side of her basket. It’s only when I look over to check on her that I realise she’s awake. She’s calm and happy, so I don’t know if I should leave her to relax? I feel bad when I do, like I’m ignoring her, but I don’t want to be harassing her if she’s content where she is.

I'd leave her, even babies need alone time every now and then. I'm sure she'll let you know when she's ready to cuddle and play

I always did. I still do. my girl hardly wakes up crying. I wake up to her babbling and rolling around. I typically wait until she starts yelling for me to go get her

Leave her! I get woken up most mornings by my baby laughing and playing with her hands. Sometimes my boyfriend will come down and shesalready wide awake, just laying there looking around and laughing. As long as she’s not crying, needing you, I don’t see any problem with dozing off again until she’s ready for some love & attention. She’ll let you know when she’s ready!

Yes I'd leave her there for maybe 15-20 minutes. I think the faster you take her out, it will train her that the second she wakes up she needs to be taken out and she might not be able to handle waking up alone after a while. As long as she's happy in there. I think more than 20 minutes would be unnecessary.

Definitely leave her! She won’t be dependent on you for self soothing and stick with it! My second was like this. As a newborn she would wake sometimes and I would see her looking around, but she never cried, and she would go back to sleep. At 7 months she has self soothed on her own from day one without any tears. She wakes up every morning happy and talking. My first was not as easy. You got lucky momma! Roll with it!
