No MIL drama but...Mother Drama!?

I keep reading all these stories about ladies and their MIL drama, and I feel so strange to be having drama with my own mamma! Same kinds of frustrating/rude/intrusive comments or actions, but with my mom and not his. Honestly I think his family has been treating me better than my own! Anyone else having troubles with their mamma? It makes me so sad and frustrated sometimes she can't just play nice!

Yes me too! My hubbys mom has been more excited and treated me better than my mom this whole pregnancy. It makes you feel terrible but just remember it’s their issue not yours. Let this be a happy time for you. Ignore the negativity! My mom hasn’t asked me once through my pregnancy how I’m doing or feeling or how the baby is. I’ve told her but I don’t think she even remembers what her first and only grandchild’s name is. She’s just a bitch and too interested in herself and no one else. It hurts because we used to be so close...she was my best friend..now I can’t stand her. I’ve seen her true colors. I hate it happened but it did. Atleast I know now. Don’t let them bring you or that beautiful child down! ❤️

Mine too!! She seems to think I’ll need her during labour and that I wouldn’t last 5 mins without her! Rude!😱

Haven’t spoke to my mom since April 🤷🏽‍♀️ she wants nothing to do with me or baby. So my MIL is my mom now 😹😹

I'm having some troubles with my own mom, I also can't relate to MIL trouble because she lives in Brazil and I haven't even met her in person/over video chat yet lol but yeah my own mom is very supportive and loves being involved in my pregnancy since this is her first grandchild, which is really awesome, but I recently just told her that I'm not having anyone in the delivery room with me besides my SO and obviously med staff, and it really hurt her feelings. I feel bad, i know she would love to be in there, but I deal with some major anxiety issues (this is my first baby) and it's just something I'm not comfortable with. Call me selfish.. but I feel this is the one day I'm allowed to be selfish and set my own boundaries, I shouldn't have to cater to anyone else's emotional needs for my own labor. I'm also nervous how she's going to be when baby gets here, like if she shows up unannounced, criticizes my parenting, all of that lol we shall see

YES!!!! my in laws treat me 100xs better than my own mother. We just recently went almost a year with out talking because of how she treats my husband. Only reason we have a relationship is because of m children.

I’m in the same situation!!! I can’t be around my mom, she does not respect my wants/ needs and I’m always stressed around her. His family though is so awesome.
