Pricked by husband's dirty needle

I was taking my blood sugars and my husband walkedin and said he wanted to try it, so I did his too. I was taking apart the thing that pricks your finger after we did his and I accidentally jabbed one of my fingers onto it. As far as we know, he doesn't have any diseases, although he did go to Africa a little over a year ago. Is there some sort of protocol I should follow on this though? Do I need to be checked out? I have O- blood and he has O+. Will there be some sort of interaction even with such a tiny amount? Sorry if these are stupid questions, I'm just a tad freaked out when it comes to blood stuff!
