Ovulation kits can be confusing

My hubby and I are TTC baby #2. I just finished breastfeeding Saturday the 16th after very slowly weaning. AF came back for the first time since baby #1 was conceived on that Monday immediately following my last nursing session with my daughter (wasn’t expecting it to happen so fast). It was very light and lasted 4 days (normal for me as I’ve been super regular for as long as i can remember). I started with the Clear Blue Advanced opk on 12/25. I started getting the blinking smiley on 12/27 and have every day since. Is this normal? Today was day 7 of the blinking smiley. I’m so tired of seeing the dang blinking!!! I’ve been having mild cramping the past couple of days - which i would assume is my body either ovulating or preparing to ovulate. We did the deed last night in hopes the test is being wacky. Does anyone have experience with the test blinking for so many days in a row? (Side note: If I recall correctly, when we were TTC our daughter, the test did the same thing the first month we used it and only blinked a couple of days the second month and that’s when we got pregnant with her. Is this the test getting to know my body?). Sorry for the long winded explanation but want to see if anyone has experienced something similar?! Thank you in advance!
