I have my 36 week appt tomorrow and I have been postponing my tdap shot. what's everyone's thoughts on getting it

Get it, not worth risking a newborn getting whooping cough

I’m pregnant. I plan on getting it and everyone who wants to visit my newborn will have to get it too. No point in having your baby die from whooping cough.

I'd rather get it and give them a slight immunity.

I got it,  it didn't hurt that bad.  I completely recommend it, there was a video floating around with an infant who had whooping cough and it broke my heart. It's deadly and terrifying for babies. I have a friend who got it as a teenager and had to spend 1.month in isolation at the hospital...so scary.

Got it too. im allergic to vaccines. legs swelled horribly & cramped up the next day. other than that I was fine. Babys health is more important to me.

I’m getting it and my husband got it too. It’s recommended by doctors, who have all studied medicine and biology their entire careers. 
Anyone can google and spread fear on the internet,  but it’s only medical professionals that can adequately assess the minute details of each vaccine and the levels of each ingredient in relation to actual risk. Don’t fall prey to people who *think* they’re doing research - listen to the people who dedicate their lives to it.

Get it. It passes some immunity to baby. Whooping cough can be fatal to a newborn. Why risk it?

I do not get it during pregnancy. I've had 6 children all healthy none having contacted whooping cough.
