Doctors believe I’m having an eptopic pregnancy.
My hcg level is 950 and when they preformed an ultrasound they didn’t even see a genestational sac. I’m 5 weeks based off my LMP.
The doctor said when looking at my ultrasound she didn’t see a certain fluffiness in my uterus that they usually see in early pregnancy, which is adding to her concern of eptopic but she also couldn’t see anything in my tubes.
I’m having pain and tenderness along with other symptoms that are signs of eptopic.
She wants to keep me for observation because she doesn’t want me to leave and have a rupture or to get worse, if it is eptopic.
So I’m here and I’m not sure how to feel. Still don’t know of what’s going to happen with the pregnancy but I know I’m numb.
I’ll either have to have surgery to find the pregnancy and remove it or take a shot of some meds to have my body absorb it if in fact it’s eptopic.
UPDATE:
Sorry for not responding, it’s been difficult. The doctors were going of my LMP and the resident OB was very concerned about not seeing even a sac. The resident OB told me what she believed was the best course of action and at 4:30am yesterday I ended up having an exploratory laranscopy(sp?). They wanted to make sure everything was okay and no hidden ectopic. The results are they did not see a pregnancy in my tubes, they did see cysts on my ovaries, but they did not remove anything. They didn’t go into my uterus. They used a camera to get a better look at my tubes and ovaries. I have to go to the OB on the 5th for another blood draw and ultrasound because they want to monitor me closely. Until they find where my baby implanted.
The pain sucks and I really hope my baby is safe secure in my uterus and just to little to see on a ultrasound right now. Please send prayers ladies. I’ll update after my appointment on the 5th.
