Bleeding on active pills?

About five days ago, I have had period like bleeding on my active pills. This is only my second month on birth control, but I haven’t had so much as spotting and my placebo pills aren’t until a few days from now. The bleeding was light at first but now it is heavier, like average period bleeding. I have started working out recently and eating healthier. Can that be a factor? Will this bleeding end, or continue to my placebo pills? Please give me advice, I’m new to bc.
