How long did it take you to get over a relationship that was 1 year +

Like 7-8 months 😩

2 years. It wasn't so much at active pain, or constant yearning. I didn't have feelings. But we were best friends and FWB for a while, so somewhere in the back of my mind I thought we'd find our way back to each other? Or that'd he'd always be there. It took a lot to realize how toxic our relationship was. I was in denial about how bad our relationship was, and refused to really acknowledge why my other relationships had failed. I wasn't upset by the sabotage. I was flattered by the attention. I realized soon after he wasn't too good of a person, and stopped liking him. Not an active hatred, just an emptiness. Now we've made peace.

My advice is to release your anger, desire, and simply cut all ties.

I'm still not allowing myself to get over him. It's actually quite sad and I know he hates it, but I just don't want to.

I never did, almost two years later were engaged and I'm having his baby 😂 I'm not saying things are impossible to get over but more of what's meant to be, will be 😊
