Is it normal to bleed for more then 7 days ?

This is my first pregnancy, I started spotting last week but it was just very light pink. Now it’s been consistent for the past few days and it looks like when I’m on my last days of my period. I am kinda of nervous and scared because I don’t know why this is happening. Has anyone ever experienced bleeding for so long ! ? I called my doctor when it first started and she said just to lay down and rest. It’s continued ever since and now she’s not there until next week

Hi sweetie, I don’t want to scare you but I think that the only way that you’ll know for certain is by going in for a scan. 
I started spotting really lightly, then it got progressively more and more. I read on tons of forums with every one saying that it is normal, but had a gut feeling that it was not right. 
We managed to see a doc yesterday and saw that the baby no longer had a heartbeat and had passed two weeks before. 
Please go in for your own peace of mind. Nobody here (including me) is going to be able to give you the answers that you can only know for sure at the hospital.

I spotted off and on brown and red for a week and asked both my gynecologist and my midwife. My gyno said to just rest and my midwife told me to go to the ER.. turns out it was just a bladder infection but she was very worried about it being so long!

Christmas Day I started spotting thinking i was getting my period, next day nothing.. so i took a hpt and got bfp.. I’ve been spotting on and off since Wednesday last week. Friday and yesterday went for blood work and my ob said everything looks good.. to just rest as much as possible and go back Saturday for more blood work.. she said as long as it’s not bright red w/clots and sharp cramp everything should be fine..
