What are my chances?

AF came a day early. No birthday surprise this week..... 😔☹️😭

Hubby and I were only able to have sex once during ovulation this cycle (12/21). It happened to be the best day for ovulation though. 12/29-12/30-12/31 I had cramping off and on but no bleeding. I have noticed my boobs are sore but also a sign for AF as well. I have also noticed I have been feeling tired and drained by the end of the day. AF is due 1/7/18.

I am not typically one to post about this but I am curious what other people think. I am worried about getting my hopes up because when I do I get a BFN and AF shows up. One month I was 4 days late and devastated when she showed her ugly face Lol. I refuse to test at all until I am 4-5 days late because of the stress. My hubby’s birthday is the 11th and I would love to give him a sweet gift but am so nervous for the let down of a BFN. Any opinions?
