Reading for money?

Question

I love to read children stories/books. 
Anyone know how to become a audiobook reader or in person and get paid for it? Hahaha it might sound weird but I really love to read to kids (I still have my imagination no1 will take it) 😂  any help or is it a loss cause 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m more responding to one of your other comments about a day care being out of reach. I rub shoulders in some of my day to day dealings with some very successful people (owners of companies, former CEOs of large companies, etc) The best advice I have ever received is this:
Think of your highest goal...like the HIGHEST goal. Write that down. Then say to yourself “what is the step below that?” And just go down further and further until it’s a step that you can take TODAY. Then write a timeline for yourself of when you should be getting to each next step. If something doesn’t work, figure out what else you can do to get to your next step...hope that makes sense. This advice helped me set up my photography business and continues to help me grow it.

Don’t audiobook readers usually get approached by the publisher/chosen by the author? I’m an Audible addict, and most of the books I’ve listened to are read by the author or someone they’ve designated. I don’t think you can just sign up to be one

You could ask at your local library. They might let you volunteer and it could give you some experience to put on your CV.  
The only job I can think of where it’s part of the role is childcare but you do a lot of other things and would need to get qualified.
