Depo Shot Insight?

So I just got the depo shot and I heard many things good and bad about it. Any reasons why I should keep getting it or try something else? pros? cons?

I only heard awful things. Please let me know if you have a good experience bc i would like to try it bc i heard it makes you gain weight

I hope it works well for you. I only had terrible things from it so I had to switch to the pill.

no period. I started mine on December 8th and sure I've had cravings but it's excellent at birth control and let me repeat NO PERIOD if your lucky! I got all of my period symptoms but no blood. I can deal with that I hate bleeding so much that's the 2nd main reason I went on the shot.
