Makeup help

Okay I need all the makeup gurus on here to help me out some.

I’ve been doing my makeup since I was like 14-15, and really only know basic stuff. Obviously it’s gotten better over the years and I’ve learned how to make it look better. But I still feel like there’s so much I don’t know and I really want to learn. I want my makeup to look better and also last longer. I have a really bad problem of my makeup sweating off in the summer, so I almost never do it when it’s hot out.

So I guess here’s what I wanna know.

What are the essentials I should have? Best brands and products? Is primer really worth it? What about setting spray? How do I stop my base from looking caked on even when it isn’t?

Just really anything you think people should know, tell me. Any tips and tricks you know, I really need the help.

It’s so embarrassing to me that I’m 21 and don’t know shit about fancy makeup. I manage and look decent half the time, but seeing all these girls with flawless makeup triggers my jealousy hardcore.
