False negative??

My doctor thinks i have herpes and i got tested for it and the results came back negative. It was a culture test, i have yet to take a blood test. It definitely is something, could it be irritation from rough sex?? Could it actually be a false negative??

please take the blood test. I was misdiagnosed for months and it only showed in the blood test. first my doc was like oh it's your soap, I came back and they said it was yeast but the yeast test came back negative, I came back and they said it's herpes and did the swab which came back negative (false negative) . I went back and they said it was dermatitis or folliculitis and put me on steroid cream. it got worse instead of better. I went BACK and they did the blood test which came back positive. I would hate for anyone to go through such a roller coaster ride of emotion trying to diagnose it. ask for the blood test right away!

It could be a false negative, definitely! Wait 3 months from the outbreak to go get a blood test. Good luck!
