Is it normal to still be in excruciating pain a week after getting a c section?

The pain is almost unbearable and constant I don't know what to do. I think it may be getting worse
If I still had pain pills I would be taking them unfortunately they only gave me 20 oxycodone and I ran out

I was in excruciating pain for about 3 weeks. However, you should definitely follow up with your dr and make sure incision is healing properly. 
Don’t be a hero. If you have the pain meds, take them.

Everyone is different. For me I was not in that much pain but I took pain meds for about a week.  Nothing big just Motrin.  If you feel you can’t handle than I would call your ob.  See if they can see you and make sure everything is ok.  Good luck.

I was in pain for a min of 2.5 weeks. I am from Canada and all they gave me was prescription  strength Advil and said I could take Tylenol on top of it. The more you get up and move the quicker you will feel better. Good Luck.

they only gave me 15 roxycodone and I'm still wondering why they seem to think that's enough when they cut you open i think they should have an option for at least 1 refill for us.

I used Tylenol Rapid Release Extra Strength 500 mg worked wonders but you shouldn't let it start to hurt6

I have had 2 c sections, also a tubal reversal  and I'm having my 3rd c section in March. Yes it will still hurt. You need move around and take your meds. but dont over do it. Please contact your Dr since it's getting worse they can help you.

For me, I was off anything by that point, not even Advil. But if you’re in pain, take some Advil. It’s better than the hardcore pain meds. Too many people get addicted that way.

Keep an eye on your incision, if it feels puffy or is inflamed or has red around it, it could be infected. That pain felt a little more under the surface though, like there was tissue balled up and shoved under the skin so it was tough to get up and sit down. If you’re concerned I would definitely be proactive and call your ob nurses. If it is something to be worried about itsbetter to catch it early on!!

For me it was horrible. I was still on percocets at that point.

iv had 2 c sections that's apart of the healing keep up with ur meds n take a nice hot bath it help alot
