Precum

Idk if I'm being paranoid or thinking cautiously. My boyfriend and I have not had penetrative sex, however we have grinded without anything between us(not using any sort of protection, and I'm not on bc). He didn't cum and from what we could tell, there was no precum. Is there still a chance of pregnancy without penetratively finishing, or that we could've missed possible precum? or am I just being paranoid?
