I'm 5'2 and kinda wanna wear a short dress but everyone is wearing long dresses and I don't wanna look weird or as if I'm going to a homecoming.

As long as its not ridiculously short, then you're good!
Typically prom is a more formal event, wear long, elegant, conservative dresses are worn, but nowadays, wear what you want, nobody really cares
