Question about betas

So I went to the doctor yesterday and they didn't have me take a blood test! They just had me POAS and when it came back positive they set me up with an appointment for my first ultrasound which is Feb 6th when I'll be 8 weeks. Is it weird that they didn't draw blood? I really wanna know my betas and feel like it would help put my mind at ease knowing if they're a decent level and if they doubled. I'm just so nervous of a miscarriage 😓 should I call back and tell them I want a blood test or not worry about it?
