Paragard and weird periods?

I got Paragard at the end of September 2017 and have had four periods since. Every month since insertion, my period has been a day or two late. My period this month was due two days ago, and today I had a bit of blood but it was really thick and brown and only came out for a few hours. I know this is just old tissue signalling the beginning of my next period, but my cycles were always so regular and “to the point” before I got my IUD! Has anybody else experienced this?
