đĄ Some people shouldnât own animals
I was staying at a hotel with my fiancĂ© and yesterday afternoon there was a trailer with a horse in it parked out back. We figured it was temporary and they hadnât unloaded it yet. This morning (like 11am) it was still there with the horse still in it. Upon closer inspection the horse was clearly FAR too big for the trailer and had to stoop his neck to even fit in and he was smushed up against the sides of the trailer. There was no water and the horse was so thirsty it was trying to lick water off the side of the trailer. The floor was covered in poop and filth mixed in with moldy hay which I suppose was his âfoodâ. He was obviously malnourished as he was super skinny. His feet were chipping and obviously hadnât been trimmed in a long time. He had a crack all the way to his leg (which is SUPER painful if you donât know). It stormed last night and now itâs below freezing and heâs covered in ice and filth. We both grew up with horses and just leaving him in the trailer overnight is a huge nono. Most barns will let you rent a stable for a night to board them in, and itâs usually not that expensive. We were in Kentucky so thereâs no shortage of stables here. The conditions it was in made it abuse. The plates were also from Utah so who knows how long heâs been in there like this. I gave him some water and called animal control. They were checking him out when I left. Things like this just make me so mad. If you donât know how to take care of an animal or canât afford to do it properly then donât get the animal.
