Help! Nursing strike??

7 week old crying and crying... it’s time for her to eat and she’s rooting around like she wants to but went I try to get her to latch she just keeps screaming...? What do I do?!

So I changed her diaper, checked her for hairs on her fingers and toes, gave her some gas medicine, tried to burp her… On Kelly mom.com it said to try supplementing to calm her down for a bit and then try again with skin to skin contact… So I happened to have some pumped milk from this morning I gave her a little bit of that and took off my shirt bra made her naked did some skin to skin… And then after about half an ounce of the bottle, Burped her and tried again when she was calm... and she finally latched!!!... sweet Baby Jesus that was scary and frustrating 😭😩

how long has she been awake? is she teething? change diaper, check fingers and toes for any hair or anything else cutting off blood flow, be sure she isn't too hot or cold, and TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND STAY CALM. once a baby gets to the stage of rooting actively they are past a little hungry and onto hangry,  you need to calm her first so she can eat.

My girls will do this when they get too high hungry or are tired. It’s awful! They will usually latch on for a minute and if I don’t have a let down fast enough they lose it. Maybe try pumping till you get a let down and then right when it starts plop her on. it has worked for us a few times. Or maybe she’s still tired so just stand and bounce her till she calms down

My baby was doing this around 6 weeks everything was fine then Boom!! When it was time for her to latch she should open her mouth wide and have her mouth round my nipple and just be screaming and screaming. It would sometimes take up to 15 minutes of trying to get her to close her mouth. Just stick with it I think it’s just a phase! My baby girl is 3 months now and still EBF

Okay so she latched and nursed for like 5 mins... then she pooted and Big poot, got upset.... and now she won’t latch again. I calmed her down again, tried to latch again and she started screaming again 🙄🙄😭 what the heck?? We’ve never had any problems with nursing up until now.
