Did you ever feel like you would never get pregnant?

We are unexplained infertility. I’m losing hope. We tried two IUI’s and no luck. Thinking about IVF. I would love some advice. Hormones great. Hsg is great. Ovarian reserve is great. Semen analysis was great.

Me and my boyfriend have been together going on 8 years never used protection never got pregnant we did 3 cycles of iuis with trigger shot and clomid with no success and we just kept trying and I finally decided to try ovulation test and got pregnant the first cycle 9 weeks 1 day now. My so had low sperm count.

IVF is a good option for a lot of couples.  If you're thinking of going down that road, I'd recommend reading 'It Starts with the Egg' for a summary of current research on improving fertility through supplements and lifestyle changes as well as the blog 'Agates guide to learning from your failed ivf cycle' for information on various testing and treatment protocols.   I found these sources after 2 failed IVF cycles (unexplained infertility but likely age related) and used the info to start a 90 day prep program (supplements and acupuncture) and discuss changing treatment protocols with my doctor and voila, I'm now 27w along. so many years of hopelessness... so many tears and even a marriage gone bad over the strain. finally found the man who is my husband and we embarked on the journey truly together. 
our situation sounds JUST like yours, and after so many no-gos, at 37 years old, tried IVF. never thought we'd get to that, and had even started consideration within adoption process.
My response to Gonal-F wasn't as great as when we did IUI, but still were able to harvest some eggs. then they were slow growers. They transferred two anyway, and the rest arrested so nothing frozen. I was so so sad at the slim chance and no reserves and the length of time before we could try again... but?! 
one of those two took hold and I'm now 37 weeks pregnant. Miracle IVF baby! 
ivf wasn't easy, very taxing emotionality, physically and financially. but it was right for us. If we want another baby before I'm "too old", we may have another tough road ahead.

Yes I feel that way. I feel like I have a better chance winning the lotto 😔 I had a dream this cycle I had a positive pregnancy test and it was the best feeling I have ever had .. sighhh can’t imagine what it would actually feel like. And if one more person tells me stop trying and it will happen 🤬 lol

I’m 100% the same. All things normal and average rates. No deformities. I’ve know since I was 19 (30now) that I would never make my own babies. Currently about to transfer my first frozen embaby on Saturday. It was all hard on my personal schedule. I have a debilitating fear of needles and every shot took me almost 10 minutes to get through. And the egg retrieval was indescribable. But I currently have 6 embabies. 6 possibilities for something I never even dreamed of. And that. Is the only thing that matters now. I wish you luck making your decision and the results of whatever you choose.

We did timed at home. I did injections,
Just like they give you for IVF, got checked on a regular basis and got the okay to do the final shot to ovulate, which I got pregnant. Just try to breathe and go through the motions. I know that answer kind of sucks, but that’s all you can do.

Hey Sara, it sounds like we’re in about the same spot in our journey. All our tests came back great, we’re both 27, have been trying over a year....

We’re not doing IUI because statistically it doesn’t really increase odds much and means clomid... so we are doing IVF after a few cycles natural. 
IVF is planned for March! I am excited, but yesterday I had a moment of complete and utter bitterness and anger. In most of this process I’ve just felt depressed, but something came over me... I feel so sad that we can’t just be a normal couple who wants a baby. And I’m scared about this not working....

I felt very hopeless after so many failed cycles. We did ivf in July after ttc 21 months and our first transfer worked.
