Multiple birth mothers...

Ladies who have given birth multiple times with and without the epidural, how stressful was it on your body and your mind? was it better or worse on you not having it. My little girl keeps hitting my cervix with her head and I feel like I won't be able to take it. I can handle quite a bit of pain but I'm not so sure after feeling an icepick inside my vagina several times a night for a month. I'm fearful that getting the epidural will prolong the labor and I don't want my baby born high. Thoughts, comments? Anyone?
