Glucose test. Advice?

So I have to go for my glucose test, what should I be expecting to happen? Are the drinks really that gross? Which flavor did you "like"? I am extremely awful at drinking things I don't like, I will gag until I end up throwing up. Super sugary things are awful 😣.

The test isn't that bad. People overreact. It's actually having gestational diabetes that's hard.

I liked the fruit punch!! My advice would be fast before even if they say you can eat before it because it can throw your levels off and having to take the 3 hour one isn't fun at all.

I had a fruit punch... it was really cold so it wasn’t bad. I think people tend to blow the whole thing out of proportion. I thought it was easy..... and I had to do the 1 hour 2x and the 3 hour test.

I cannot handle sweet beverages, at all. I managed to choke down the orange drink (only one my drs office offers) a total of 3x now... It's disgusting but necessary. You have five minutes to finish the bottle. I just sucked it down and tried not to think about it. If you get sick the test is void and you will be asked to do it again at a later date. They do allow you to have small sips of water. I fail EVERYTIME as I'm a GD mom. The drink is not nearly at bad as the 5x per day finger pricks and 3x per day insulin injections (I was diagnosed at 28w with my daughter and 14w with my son).

I wasn't offered different flavours. They gave me orange and it was a bit like flat soda. Honestly I felt like people hyped up how awful it was and it made me anxious. The reality wasn't that bad.

I had the lemon lime one. I LOVED it!!! I failed my 1 hr but passed the 3 hr. Either you have GD or you don’t, there’s really nothing you can do.
