navel piercing infected? or healing?

I got it done a week ago. Does it look infected? I clean it twice a day. It’s never really sore, it’s just red. How do i treat it if it is infected? Sorry im just really paranoid.

When I first had mine done if I washed and cleaned it took much it would get like that. The h2ocean never worked for me so I have to you just any antibacterial soap about once or twice a day. Also when I would shower I would make sure to use the antibacterial soap and really move it around so the skin wouldn’t get stiff. A good thing to do also throughout the day is move it around and twist it because then the healing watery stuff will dry up and cause some pain and discomfort.

Healing. If it gets infected DO NOT take it out. You'll just trap the infection inside your body. If you suspect its infected ask your doctor about antibiotics. also remember go clean it regularly and clean it after you shower!

Mine looked like this after I got it done.... I also cleaned it very well and was really upset! I switched to a plastic belly button ring and it actually healed just fine.   
Still to this day if I wear a metal belly button ring for more than a couple of day, my belly button will start to get slightly irritated. You might just have sensitive skin!

Wash it multiple times a day with only antibacterial soap. You can use salt but usually salt makes it look like that red and inflamed. You shouldn’t constantly use it to clean it. I also would recommend not using alcohol either. Especially if you have sensitive skin.
Ive had a belly ring for 6 years. I only used antibacterial soap to clean it.
