Hey girls, me and my boyfriend d were talking about moving away together for the first time. I was just thinking about the idea, do any of you girls have tips living with your so? 😂

Discuss your finances prior to finding a place. What can you spend on rent/mortgage plus utilities without sacrificing. Plus add in your personal bills like gas, car insurance, cell phone, etc. But still leave yourself room to save just in case things dont work out. Other things to discuss- responsibilities. My husband never washed a dish or cleaned a toilet before we moved in together. And on the 6 years we've lived together, he's NEVER once cleaned the shower. I accept it because I've never once had to snow blow the driveway lol

Absolutely plan out how finances will work once you live together. Make a spreadsheet. Figure how how you're splitting bills and how you will make purchases together BEFORE you move in together! Joint checking account for all shared bills? Or each pay half separately? You figure it out now.
And who will wash dishes? Who shovels out the car when it snows? What happens if one of you unexpectedly loses a job? You gotta have a plan.

COMMUNICATION IS KEY. Find a "me time" place. (extra room, bathroom, nice place outside, ect.) Cause that will come in handy when you need to be alone lol. Plan out financials ahead of time so you don't overspend or get stuck in a financial rut. If you don't like the way they do something, discuss it instead of waiting till you'll argue about it. Don't go everywhere together even if you want to, cause in the long run it'll make you grow sick of eachother. And just prepare to alter your life around someone else's. It's amazing moving in with your lover, but it comes with a lot of challenges as well. (and if he's anything like mine, prepare to clean up a lot 😂).
