People who already have 1 or more children complain about ttc?

I've seen people write really rude things such as "just be happy you already have one" or "you should be enjoying the kids you have"

People who have kids already obviously do enjoy and appreciate their kids and so they would like to experience having more.

When you are trying to conceive a bfn is dissappointing whether you are trying for #1 or #5 imo.

Some people respond as if, if you aren't trying for #1 you shouldn't be upset.

It bothers me when people try to make pain and suffering a competition... like look, see, I have it worse than you so I win. Everyone's experience is unique and personal to them... let's not diminish or down play their very real feelings.

I actually just read an article on a friend's Facebook about secondary infertility, and I can only imagine how devastating it is. It is a shame that people give others grief about something that obviously causes them pain.

I agree, I'm trying for #3 and it's not as easy for some reason. But I've never had anyone be rude to me about it....yet

I think it's 2 totally different things. I can see how they would be upset when TTC #2,3,4,5,6 ect. But I would do ANYTHING to have baby #1. I would LOVE to have 2 or 3 kids but just 1 right now would be amazing. TTC for 10 months. #babydust to all.

I agree 100%.  The trouble is some women who are trying become bitter (others are just always that way).  So they take out their frustration on other women.  You must have a thick skin on here.

I know two different families personally that only seem to care about the head count. Nevermind the fact that the kids are in horrible care.

I have nothing against people who want multiple kids, and it's not that I would ever say anything like this to them -but I don't pity you when you're working on you 2nd or 6th child when they're tons of people who can't get manage 1. I of course give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume you're not just racking up numbers, but I will not pity you.

I'm a very lucky mother of three and step mom of one but now my husband and I are ttc a baby together and it's not happening. I have started thinking negative thoughts like, "what's wrong with me that I could get pregnant with my exes but not the man of my dreams?" And it doesn't help when he talks about how easy his ex got pregnant. I know it's hard for everyone and everyone has a different story and life experiences. I don't share my story a lot because I don't want to sound selfish for not being able to get pregnant when I already have wonderful beautiful children. I honestly do think it would be more difficult to never have a child at all but it's still trying for me too.
