It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on here...
My sweet baby boy is almost 6 months old! And we had quite the time getting him here. I went in to my 39 week appt and my dr was concerned about how swollen my feet and ankles were and how high my blood pressure was. Plus I had protein in my urine. So he said that he wanted to induce me that night. We arrive at the hospital and my blood pressure is still extremely high and they were worried about starting the induction process. When they finally did it, the nurses checked me and said something felt weird. They called my dr in and realized that baby was trying to come out mouth first and his forehead was pressed up against my pelvic bone. If I were to try and push him out his head would have kept going back so we ended up having an emergency C-section. All was well and good.... until about 6 hrs later when they came to check his vitals. He was struggling to keep his blood sugar up so they had to take him to NICU. I was devastated. My sweet little man couldn’t be with me and I couldn’t leave my bed for the first day. He had to be in there for 2 days! Luckily this hospital gave us 24 hr access to see him so my husband would wheel chair me down to see him every 2 hours. Fast forward 5 months later we have a handsome happy boy! My heart is so full!
