How long were you and your man together before you brought up children?

Not seriously, but speaking about it like you and him will have kids and be together forever, etc. Did you bring it up or did he? And one last one, if you brought it up were you afraid to push him away by doing so?

We started dating when I was 17 and he was 19. He wanted a baby with me when I was 18. I told him I wanted to wait until we got married and bought a house. Got married right after I turned 20 and bought a house when I was 27. i just turned 29 a couple months ago and we're expecting our first baby. Doesn't hurt to wait.

I brought it up during our 2nd or 3rd phone conversation. We hadn’t even met in person yet. We met online. No I wasn’t worried about scaring him away. If he had been scared away then he wasn’t the right guy. No big deal. There are plenty of other guys out there. Luckily he was open and honest and I got enough info to continue getting to know him. I didn’t say anything to him about being together forever. LOL! I’m not 16. I just asked if he had any interest in having more children.

Before we ever even thought about becoming official. I already had one, and had no intentions on bringing another man into our lives, if his didn't align with our needs, and happiness; nor would I want it the opposite way. We waited to have our 2nd until after 2 years of being together, 1 + years of marriage.

Less then a year, maybe 6 months. I remember in 9th grade walking in the halls talking about how many kids and when. And again during the summer at a fair a year later. I don't really know who start it might have been cuz I was in child development class. I wasn't scared how he reacted at all. 
I made it clear I want kids and he was fine with it and wanted a lot but now we have a toddler. He only wants two more or one. Which is perfect for us at the moment. Might change our minds in the future but as long we have a other before our daughter is 5 I'm good with it. Don't want a big age gap between kids.
