Military Families
With all of our babies getting ready to turn the big 1 YEAR OLD, we should be getting excited, maybe also sentimental, but mostly excited. Unfortunately, my husband will be deploying next month, and will miss our daughter’s first birthday. He will be gone until about 2 months before she turns 2. Knowing this, I can’t help but dread the time passing... I know that the things he will miss as she grows are such big moments in a child’s life like first steps, first words, and so on.
I am wondering if there are any other military wives/mommies out there with little ones, who have some advice on how to get through all of this as smoothly as possible? She’s so young, I want to make sure she always knows who daddy is, and I want to make sure he can be as involved as possible (which I know will not be much). And selfishly, any advice on how to get through the next 10 months without my best friend and other half by my side.
I am so proud of my husband for everything that he does, and he is such an amazing daddy. I’m just looking for some support, because I have seen some AMAZING support from this app when people have needed it most.
