Baby's last name?

We broke up bc he's a immature guy. Always flirting with females & think he can come to me and think everything is ok. I'm done and I'm tired of it. I should have never gave him such a gift (this child) he doesn't deserve me or this baby. I'm completely done with him. Should baby have my name or his?

Honestly I think the baby should always have the mothers last unless your married or in a very stable loving relationship and have no doubts. But that's just what I think.

Don't give him the satisfaction of giving the baby his last name. He doesn't deserve it. The baby is a blessing, not a toy. Can't just give her/him up just to flirt or do other things w/ ppl. That's not a father. That's a sperm donor.

Here's my opinion on the subject and I mean no disrespect because I don't know the whole situation. Whether you like it or not, that child is his. And he has rights to his child regardless of if he hurt you. You are not your baby. You might be done with him, but your baby isn't. That's it's father. The name isn't completely up to you. Will he be at the birth of his child? When it comes down to it, if you've already decided than my opinion won't change your mind. Just my 2 cents.

I always recommend naming a baby your last name when in a rocky relationship. It cause future problems for you should he leave and than decide he wants to be dad of the year later. If you get back together and get married it's easier to change the last name!! It's harder to

I really think it depends. But you can always hyphenate. But is he going to be in the child's life? Is he planning on being a father? Obviously you won't know until the time comes. My friend had to change her sons last name to the fathers after the court made her do a paternity test for child support. So it really can depend on Those kind of rules and what he plans to do

In all honesty, my boyfriend use to be the same (father of my son aswell) and I told him I don't want our son to have his last name because of how much we broke up and how much he flirt with others and I told him even if he changed I didn't want him to have his last name.. It makes me feel better.  Now me and my boyfriend and together he has changed his ways but now he is ok with the baby having my last name and completely understands why.

I've known adult children like your baby. Several of them legally changed their last names as adults because they were so ashamed of carrying their deadbeat dad's name. It was something that upset them a lot as kids, to carry the name of a man who treated their mothers so badly.
