Can someone pls help me? lol

So I have been on the pill for like a year now but I am still skeptical and I freak out about if I am taking it correctly.

I take Junel and was just reading the directions.

So, I have been taking my pills and once i finish a pack, I start a week from that day (end pack on Friday, start pack following Friday).

Now I am reading that it says to start taking it the 8th day after finishing the pack. Have I been taking these incorrectly? And if I change my way of taking it will I be unprotected?

I am very confused.
