Name copying?

Kierstin

So we found out the gender of our little one today!! We're having a little baby boy and upon sharing the news with everyone, someone decided to make a post about my boyfriend and I being unoriginal because we "copied" the name of someone else. The name we chose is Brantley. A friend of my boyfriend is having a baby too and they just so happen to be a month ahead of me which means they revealed ahead of me too. They also chose to name their child Brantley. Which was cool, no big deal, I didn't see a problem with it because it's just a name. Well, the girl felt the need to make a post about how we basically copied her by choosing to name our baby Brantley too. Just a little background information, my boyfriend and I have been together for over two years. We've had baby names picked out since like four months into our relationship. I've always wanted my first boy to be named Brantley because I genuinely like the name. She said she named her child Brantley because it's original and she knows nobody in this whole world with the name Brantley. Which is ridiculous to say the least because Brantley is not at all original. This girl and her boyfriend have been together for six months and chose the name Brantley a week after finding out the gender of their baby. I confronted her about it and she genuinely believed I "stole" her child's name. Not only did I copy the name, but I also copied her theme. However, there were no photos of her theme posted anywhere and I never saw any of her decorations or anything of that nature. Nor were our reveals even slightly the same. My question is, am I being ridiculous about this? Like do I need to change my child's name because I "copied" her?? I honestly feel like this is so ridiculous to even be asking but I want others opinions because I really don't see the issue with it.
