How can I help my 8 months old😩😩😩😩😩🙏, please read

Hey ladies so my son developed the hand-foot & mouth virus ( not sure if this is the correct name), well I took him to the Urgent Care because of high fever & some blisters around his mouth ( I didn’t know about the HFMD) so the doctor informed me about it & told me that my son has it. I asked what can I do to help him, because it can be very uncomfortable for kids, the doctor told me that I can’t do anything & it’ll go by itself. I understood that but I feel so bad 😩😩😩. I have his fever controlled but what else I can do? I’m not a first time mom but my 1st child never got this virus . So any advice from does mom who kids had it? What can I do or can’t do to help him? 😩😩😩😩
