Do you guys think that college is diverse?

It really does depend on where you go. Some unis here in the UK are SO diverse, and I love it 💕
However, the minute you step into a performing arts/art and design school over here, you’re so much less inclined to see students of colour, it’s wild. My sister is in a drama school in Birmingham, she’s the only black girl in her year, only one East Asian girl, one mixed race girl, one south Asian boy, one black boy, and that’s it for people of colour in her year group. She has faced a lot of racism over there at the hands of her white classmates.

No. Most colleges in the US have like 20-25% diversity, with most of that being international Asian students, especially international students. My college is only 6% black, for example, and even less than that Hispanic. 
I'm used to my high school, which had 48% diversity, and almost all of the POC there were black and Hispanic. 
If it's jarring for me to go to a PWI like this, I can't imagine how my black and brown friends felt coming in 😅 it must have been weird

Honestly depends on where you go. I went to NCAT, which is one of the biggest HBCUs in the nation. And since it is historically black, there were rarely any white people or any origins of different races since it was a black college. On the other hand, i currently go to Averett in Virginia and it’s somewhat diverse, but it is classified as PWI, which means it’s mostly white. So i believe it’s where you go

I am just talking about the college I went to. But it was overwhelmingly cis white people. Which I get because New England, but still. And it was particularly annoying because they were trying to be all accepting and allies, which is a good thing, but it is easy to say you are an accepting person WHEN THERE IS NO ONE DIFFERENT TO ACCEPT! Sorry, I am still kinda bitter about it.

Depends on where you go and what type of diversity you are looking for. Race and money wise, my college was not very diverse. It was mostly people with middle to upper class parents and the majority of us were white. Sexuality and gender wise though, there was more diversity

In my experience it seems to be so far. Only a couple weeks into my first semester and I’d already met another trans person and a lot of other lgbt+ people, certainly more diverse than high school I find 😬 probably because people are more mature and less likely to be assholes

Depends. The college I went to was racially diverse but politically/morally homogenous.
