When to buy baby stuff

When did everyone start to by baby stuff, like a crib and all that stuff?

We bought most of the furniture right away. I like getting things spread out and not all at once.

I am buying clothes here and there. But waiting till after the baby shower to buy big stuff.

I bought my first 2 cloth diapers at 6 weeks.

With both my pregnancies I started at 25-30weeks!

We are 12 weeks and 1 day today and I had my 12 week appt and heard the heart beat again so I decided to buy 2 diapers (we are cloth diapering so gotta start my stash!). Other stuff I don't know yet, but probably start soon so it isn't so much stuff at once!
