Is two receptions ridiculous??

So let me explain first... there are two main reasons we decided on two receptions first being his family are big drinkers while mine is very religious and not into that, meaning it would be an issue. Not to mention we are lucky enough to be using family members houses for the receptions i thought it’d be rude to push a dry reception when its at their house. The next reason is his family threw a fit about having to drive to where we live( it’s max an hour from them) they said it was completely unfair to do that to them but i have much older grandparents than him so i think it makes more sense to have them travel less. I’m just a tab worried I’m bending over backwards too much for other people. My sister keeps trying to reminding me it’s my day not my moms for example, what do you guys think?
