Mom to a girl rant- not sorry!!

Having a daughter has brought about so many changes both physical and mental for me! Today like a rogue bolt of lightening it suddenly hit me how sad I am to see girls and women but also men portraying themselves in a purely sexual manner for personal gratification in the eyes of their peers and in turn a form of appreciation of ones self, if viewed as attractive to the eyes of others through filters and cropping we somehow feel accomplished.
I want my daughter and maybe future sons to grow up in a world knowing that brains amount to something not just boobs, Bi's and Tri's. I don't want my daughter parading pictures of herself in poses of 'suggested nudity' hoping it will gain her a follower or two!
When did the innocence of humanity get lost in the sexualisation of humans for bettering their self worth? Content shared is all open to interpretation and I understand that argument but when did it become all about being viewed only as sexually attractive? When did posing for pictures in suggestive poses become more important than a girls/boys personality? Why is it that today women and men are more often seen as objects rather than people? I don't understand why society/media feel it ok and necessary to basically publicise that in order to get anywhere you have to be half naked and using a decent filter! Rant over but I'm not sorry.
