We Had Our 12 Week Appointment! 😀

I just had my first ultrasound at the antenatal testing center. I have had 4 ultrasounds total. This one was most in-depth bc it was my 12 week ultrasound. We were told that babies are looking healthy. 😀 We also worked with a geneticist to talk about potential genetic diseases, etc.

I have taken the Counsyl Prenatal screening and for two test looking for Down syndrome and genetic diseases, the results were all negative.

I was like a kid waiting on Christmas as my appt. came up because I knew I’d get to see my babies again. I haven’t purchased anything to hear their heartbeats so this appointment was also our first time getting to hear our babies heartbeats.

Both babies are pretty identical in size and weight. A guess from the ultrasound technician told us we are having at least one boy. But I had already told her that from the prenatal blood test that we learned that. She didn’t give us a guess for Twin A. 😑

I did some blood work and made my next appointment for Week 20. I am surprised I am not being seen more often since I’m having twins. But it’s fine. The appointments can be a bit exhausting for me. I am still battling a bit of nausea and feeling heavy already and tired.

I’m due August 4th but I will most likely be induced some time in July.
