Negative LH tests?

Question

I've started testing on CD9 like my apps said to, Ive had ZERO  faint test lines. I'm now on CD12 and no closer to a faint line or anything showing up! I thought you were supposed to ALWAYS have a small amount of LH in your system? I'm so confused. 
Any help or advise is greatly appreciated!

keep testing you may be ovulating late. Remember you start your period about 14 days after you ovulate not the other way around. if you don't get a positive LH surge I would start testing earlier next cycle.

Thank you for replying.
It's the first period I've had in about 3 months, I'm kind of up in the air as to if I'm going to ovulate or not. I've never had a positive opk and I'm on Metformin too?
TTC is so confusing 😩

I ovulated about 4 days later than glow predicted so try not to worry, keep testing a couple of times a day as the bottom two are from the same day one in the morning then one was taken at tea time,
