Nuvaring experiences?

I'm thinking about getting it but i'm worried about how functional it'll be, and also, you can't have it in when you're on your period right? What if you have sex on your period? Can't you still get pregnant?

I loved it! Oh can leave it in the full four weeks and skip your period. If you do take it out to have your period the hormones are still in your system so you will not get pregnant if you have sex on your period as long as you put the next one in on time. I also never had any problems with it during sex. Neither of us could feel it and it never came it or anything.

I had it for 4 years ! Best thing ever. I never had a problem with it and got pregnant the first month  after removing it. Will go back to it after the baby comes.

I loved it! Never had any problems, and my doctor okayed me to swap a new one in immediately (leave in 4 weeks, put a new one in w/no break for a period), and after my body was used to it I didn't have my period for like a year.

I had it worked fine for me! Occasionally in certain positions it was felt but besides that my body agreed to it better then the pill or injection give it a go each to their own

I LOVED the Nuvaring!!! It's in for 3 weeks and out the week you have your period. Just like the pill. It didn't make me go nuts like the pill did and my husband never felt it during sex either. If I ever get back on birth control this would be my #1 choice. Unless I get more info on an iud. Totally recommend it!!

I'm wondering myself about getting Nuvaring! I'm a little worried about feeling it because I can feel tampons even though they are in correctly. I have kind of a short vag, I think... So are they comfortable to wear? Do you notice it?

I actually had the opportunity to be a test subject for Nuvaring. Of all the contraceptives out there; I had the least side effects, minimal weight gain and much lighter periods. When I worked at an OB/Gyn clinic, the Dr recommended to patients using Nuvaring that they could use it consistently and have little to no periods. So at the 3 week mark you can take it out and put the next one in right away. If inserted correctly, neither you or your partner can feel it.
