First Try With Clomid & PCOS
Hello everyone! I wanted to get some advice and positive vibes!
Back story: I have a surprise daughter who will be 8 this year, later I started getting symptoms of PCOS. I was “officially diagnosed” with PCOS in August of 2015. Tried metformin on and off but it makes me so sick. Finally my OBGYN recommended ovarian drilling. I went back and forth about it and my husband (then fiancé) and I decided that I should go ahead with it since we were getting married soon and I am 29.
July 2017, had the ovarian drilling and a few days later AF came. My cycles were an average of 28 days for 5 days from July to December.
December 2017, AF came on the 6th then medium flow spotting again starting the 16th for 5 days, then nothing - total cycle was 52 days. Which is hard to know when you may ovulate!
Since the surgery we have been TTC - I would have been OK with being preggers and my wedding (October 2017).
Had my annual on 1/23 and he was pleased that my AF was so regular for 6 months and decided to have me try Clomid 50mg when AF came again and he seemed very positive that it may work on the first go round, CD 5-9.
AF came today (1/26) and I am excited to try Clomid and see what happens but I am also trying not to get my hopes up.
I bought an abundance of OPKs - when should I start using those after AF?
Anyone else??
I need support, we aren’t sharing our difficulties with family and friends so it’s hard being alone in it!
