When to tell the kids we're pregnant.

Im 10w5d today and i have a 5 year old step daughter and a 2 year old son. When should their dad and i tell them we are having another baby?

We waited to tell the kids and family when I was into the second trimester, about 12 weeks. I've never had any issues with my first two pregnancies, but we wanted to be sure we were in the safe zone. They thought we were joking , but there was no denying a growing belly lol. Do whatever feels right for you. Congratulations btw!

First off, congradulations! The best part of becoming pregnant is the thought of a new baby. Then of course when you tell friends and relatives. It's so exciting! And I have to agree with Jen, I would wait until second trimester or when you know what you're having. The reason why is because miscarriages usually happen in the first trimester, it's a very delicate stage. I had a friend who was expecting and immediately told her only child. The little one was excited to become a big sis! But unfornately, they lost the baby & the little was devasted she really wanted a big sister. It's hard on them too. They didn't know how to explain to her what happened. Just to be safe I would wait. But you can do what you think is right! Best of luck! Congrats once again 👶🎉💕✨

My son is 7.5yrs old. I took a test and was waiting for my husband to wake up so I could tell him. My son followed me into the bathroom and asked me what the thing on my sink was so I showed him and asked him to tell me what he saw and what the package said it means. His eyes lit up and he got so excited, we couldn't wait any longer so we woke my husband up and told him. My son was allowed to tell his friends and people in our neighborhood but our families lives out of town and we wanted to keep it a secret until 12 weeks.

We were so excited when we found out my husband told our then 8 year old son immediately,  then we realized we had to tell everyone else because 8 year olds can't keep secrets.
