Traveling, Zika, & TTC! - HELP
Last year my mother in law bought the whole family reservations to Cabo for this May.

AWESOME! Right?........ And then we started TTC in December. Well, being new to this whole thing, I didn't see any problems. Until I met with my OBGYN for an exam and to talk about any potential difficulties. Well the good news was that she doesn't see any reason I shouldnt concieve soon. The bad? Mexico has the Zika virus so traveling is a big no no!

And to make matters worse, you cannot ttc within SIX MONTHS of returning from countries that carry the virus! (the official recommendation from the CDC)

So we are faced with the following dilemma: A) (most ideal) I get pregnant prior to May and my husband goes to Mexico without me (totally worth it to me! Even tho that would mean using protection for 6mos) B) I don't concieve before may and neither of us go so that we can keep ttc. (no clue what we would do with the reservation his mom already paid for) or C) I don't concieve by May and we wait to try for six months (not likely).

Not liking those options and the pressure it puts on TTC - but we have to come up with a choice. Also not happy that we have to tell his parents this as they don't know we are trying and we wanted to surprise them with a BFP. Oh and we have to buy plane tickets really soon!

What would you do? What do your Dr.s think in your area? Your thoughts?? Any (kind) thoughts or advice are welcome!
