When would be the best time to find out babies gender

So ladies I’m in a bit of a dilemma, so this is my second pregnancy but my husbands 1st and our appointment to find out the baby gender is March 12 but our anniversary is March 3 so I have this idea for me to go find out the babies gender by myself and as an anniversary gift have the gender reveal as one of his anniversary gifts but idk if it would be best that we both go find out he gender together since obviously it is a special moment    
Ps: it’s be the gift they says sight and id obviously tel him to open it last

Idk... I’d just wait and find out together, but that’s me. What if he’s mad you found out without him? You could potentially ruin a special, happy thing. I mean, you know your man better than I do, but if the shoe were on the other foot how would you feel? I’d be a little furious, even though it’s good intentions.

Why don’t you have them put the gender in a sealed envelope and open together. We did this with our first because my his couldn’t make it to the appointment with me. It was very exciting. The second one we found out at the appointment. With our third it was a surprise till I had him. That was very hard to do.

Since it’s his first I would suggest you find out together. Unless you can find out before hand if he would like to be surprised like that. I would just ask him without letting him know what you had in mind. My husband planned how he wanted to be surprised with our first,I went with my mom and MIL to ultrasound then met him and all our friends at the farm where he got to shoot a box of color powder that showed him the color! He loved it since he thinks ultrasound make Baby look weird anyway lol
