pain when inserting and not going in right?

i’ve been using the diva cup for the last few cycles (4 or so?) that i’ve had but come this cycle, i’ve had a few problems. i’ve experiences a lot of pain when inserting in, even when ‘lubing’ it up with water. once it’s in there, after quite a bit of wrestling, it doesn’t feel like it’s popped open right and keeps leaking. anyone know what’s going on?

Have you tried different folds? Some folds work better for people than others. Some folds make the insert process easier by making the point inserting smaller.
As for it opening have you tried putting the cup in at a different angle? Like for me I have a cup that I use a c-fold with and you are supposed to insert the cup with the creased side to your back, but I insert it with the creased side to my front because otherwise I can't get it to open. With another cup I have to wiggle it up and down and twist it a quarter of the way for it to open.
PS I learned to do both these ways on a non-period day since I was more relaxed and wasn't worried about blood being under my fingernails on those days. I always suggest learning new folds on dry run days.
