Should a spouse buy a Mothers Day gift for their pregnant wife?

It was a thought I had today and I was wondering what all you ladies thought.

My husband is not that thoughtful (but I already knew this about him), so I flat out told him I expect a gift on Mother’s Day (even though our baby won’t be born yet). He thanked me for the heads up🤣

For the past 3 years I've been getting a mother's day gift for being a dog mom. If my husband drops the ball this year when I'm becoming an actual mom, he's in for it lol

I got my husband a tiny fathers day gift when I was pregnant.

Hell my husband started before we got prego because I took on his three kids and they even say it to me as their step mom. Purely their call not mine.

My husband bought me a dozen roses when I was pregnant with our daughter!  To make it even more special he was over the road working and came home a few days early just to spend time with me 😍

I don't think it's really a requirement, but a really lovely gesture. my husband and I don't do gift exchanges, like, ever. so for us it's the last thing I ever expect.
